Biarritz, once a summer haven for royalty and the birthplace of surfing in Europe, is a perfect blend of elegance and relaxed coastal vibes. With its vibrant mix of French charm, Basque culture, and stunning beaches, this seaside town offers something for everyone.
1. Relax on Grande Plage
The postcard-perfect main beach is framed by the iconic Hôtel du Palais. Their chocolat chaud on the terrace is a must!
2. Swim at Plage du Port Vieux
This sheltered, horseshoe-shaped beach is ideal for a tranquil sea dip and sunset aperitifs at Eden Rock Café.
3. Surf at Côte des Basques
Birthplace of European surfing, this beach is perfect for lessons or simply watching surfers and the world go by whilst sipping a vino at Carlos.
